I am now the proud owner of the new collector's edition of The Nightmare Before Christmas that came out at the end of August. Hot Topic is still good for something occasionally (they had it on sale). I probably won't get to watch it until much later this week but still YAY ME! *claps* I've heard that the remaster is made of awesome sauce (I have the original VHS so I can compare later if I REALLY feel like being a nerd) and as an extra plus, there is a digital DVD included as well which means I can put it on my computer or EVEN BETTER my Zune (when I finally get around to installing my software back on). But yeah...*dances*
And as a last bit of nerdom, but if you haven't heard already (or guessed it honestly) but word on the street is that Johnny Depp will be playing the Mad Hatter in the Tim Burton directed Alice in Wonderland. SWEETNESSSSSSSSSSSSSS...
Also, one more nerdy thing (I lied I'm sorry forgive me), Twilight, is it really all that and a bag of chips like pretty much everyone I've run into in real life has made it out to be? I'm highly skeptical of things with vampires usually, particularly if romance directed towards the YA audience is involved, but I just feel so out of the loop because I HAVEN'T read it yet. I feel a little bit like I'm missing out on something. I'm kind of feeling like I do about Buffy, Portal, Firefly, VGCats, Anne Rice, and Megatokyo - I never really got into them (if I tried them at all) and I don't understand when people make reference to them. And that frustrates the living crap out of me. *shrugs*
Whatever for now. I really should be getting to bed. I have to get up to take the dogs out. I love how Lauren put me back on the dishes/dogs schedule WITHOUT telling me. It's going to be a loooooooooooooooooooonggg day.
