*cries bitterly* I'm blaming High School Musical and Sweeney Todd. Everyone saw how successful these tv/movie musical things were which is why there are now 3 HSMs and that American Mall thing that MTV put out and then Sweeney Todd proved that a musical with off-color humor can be successful and now this is happening. AAAARGGG! I will not see this. I will not.
Edit: Yet another remake. At least the directors this time are semi-decent. I liked Boogeyman.
