Warnings: Bullying, broken glass, and implied blood
Dream Effects: (Optional) The viewer will feel lonely, annoyed, depressed, and then suddenly have a sort of blank feeling with underlying satisfaction.

I still remember it clearly, that fateful day in Middle School that started my downward spiral into madness. I was sitting alone at my desk, staring out the nearby window. My wrists had begun to itch recently so once in a while I would reach over to scratch them to satisfy that growing itch. Suddenly I heard some people loudly entering the class room and looked over to see three boys from my class. I didn’t know them personally, not that I wanted to. They were obnoxious and rude and were the last people I saw myself considering as "friends." I tensed up when I saw that they were heading my way. I looked back down at my desk, trying to ignore their existences completely. Sadly, that didn’t help and they quickly surrounded my desk and began chattering loudly at me.

"Hey, you’re that weird ghost girl, aren't you?"
"Yeah, she’s the one that's always talking about someone called 'Oyashiro-sama'."
"I heard her say that Oyashiro-sama is some kind of God that watches over people."

I clenched my fists but still held my ground and didn’t look up at them. But just because I wasn’t looking them in the eye didn’t mean my ears had stopped working.

"Really? Haha, that's so weird! What kind of person would believe something like that?"
"No wonder she doesn’t seem to spend time with anyone else here."
"Well obviously no one wants to be seen walking around with someone who still believes in childish ghost stories."

They were wrong. Oyashiro-sama does exist! They were just blind. Blind and def! But I knew the truth; I knew what kinds of things were lurking in the shadows.

"You know I heard her parents just recently got divorced."
"No way, really?"
"It doesn't surprise me. They probably got into fights about whose fault it was that she turned out to be such a freak."

It felt like they were stabbing knives through my heart with their words. I couldn’t take it anymore. It hurt so much. Before I could stop myself, tears began to fall from my eyes. I trembled in my desk, filled with both rage and misery. The three boys merely laughed at my display and left the classroom, leaving me alone to cry.

[Why...why does this have to be happening to me? What sin did I commit...to live such a horrible life?]

Smash

Crash
The sounds of breaking glass. Baseball bat in hand, Rena walked down the school hallway, smashing each window one by one. The glass beneath her feet crackled for each step she took.

One of the three boys from the day before now lay at her feet, arms held out in attempted self defense.

"Please, stop! We didn't mean what we said, honest! Please don’t kill me!"

But his pleas fell upon def ears. Rena raised her baseball bat above her head and brought it down onto his head with a satisfying
"THWACK"

[Rena slowly sits up in her bed. She puts a hand up to her face and cringes because she knows that dream just got broadcast all over the network. There were parts of her past that she’d rather not have out on display. It was inevitable, she supposed. Her kitten Pumpkin lets out a concerned "meow" and Rena pets his head before the video cuts off]
