I've almost got this synth figured out. LFOs finally make sense, but I've still got to get my head around envelope generators and bandpass filters. The filter sets the type and depth of the bandpass filter (BPF), and the filter envelope generator (EG) changes how the BPF effects the wave (i.e. Attack, sustain, decay, and so forth). The Amp sets the amplitude, and the amp EG changes the amplitude effect over time. Or something? JEEZ WHAT THE CRAP.
Work continues to suck. I found a second gray hair today! Putting in my three-week notice on Friday's going to be tough, since I know it's going to be a hassle for my coworkers. On the other hand, I won't be depressed and grumpy 90% of the time.
I applied at SCCC, and I've got to take a math placement test. This is actually pretty scary. I really need to take calculus classes, since my Freshman year calc grades aren't going to get me into any sort of CS program. But, as you can imagine, I've forgotten more math than YOU ever knew. Lucky for me, I find that reading my pre-calculus review book is rather pleasant. Completing the square, rationalizing denominator, factoring polynomials, trigonometric identities! So elegant and stately!
