Wow,
Ive had such a random and amazing evening!

Today I went to have lunch with my mate Dan and a nice vegie restaurant on Brunswick St. Just before I met him, I got an sms from a couchsurfer that I met the week before at a couchsurfing meet at a Japanese restaurant saying there was a couchsurfer she was meeting up with who does fire spinning and she knew I was interested in that stuff so she wanted to know if I was free to come meet him. After having lunch with Dan, I caught the tram into the city and met Keriann and Dingo (the fire spinner) and we sat at Fed Square chatting in the sun for ages. After a while we decided to take a walk around the city to see what places were possible for him to perform his fire tricks. We did a lap of Southgate, Crown, Flinders St, Burke St etc and ended back at Fed Square. We then decided the best place to go would be outside crown....right near where the fire things go off outside every hour.

This guy is the most unbelievable guy Ive ever met! He's 33, has travelled all over the world, studied so many different things and has an amazing amount of different talents! He was down to his last $2 so he really needed to get some money from the show to be able to buy food...and live basically. He was couchsurfing with someone else though so at least he didnt have to worry about accommodation. As we were walking around the streets we were joking and laughing the whole time! He is such a piss funny guy and full of smart ass comments for EVERYONE! He would just talk to randoms on the street constantly and I just had to stop and laugh at him! The two of us got along so well, it was awesome! We've also been away for the same amount of time, come back at the same time and been to the same places so it was awesome to have someone to chat to about London and Europe without people not having a clue what your on about or looking at you like your just trying to drop country names or something.

We ended up setting up the show and I went around with my hat that I was wearing collecting money from people watching. I was having just as much fun as he was and it was really cool to watch him do it! We ended up scoring about $50 I'd say in around 1.5 hours which was brilliant!

After he packed up, we caught the tram back to Brunswick St, went into a small pub and had a pint of Stella....a real Pommy thing to do, hahaha....and played some pool while having a great laugh, then we drove home.

Im meeting up again with him tomorrow cos he's going to do another performance tomorrow night but during the day he's going to teach me how to use my fire poi and also the staff and ropes which will be really cool!

He's also given me a proposal. He's asked me if I would like to be his Business Manager...finding gigs all over the world for him to perform at, book them and get that shit sorted...and he'd give me a percentage of what he gets paid. At first I sort of laughed and shrugged it off but then he said it would be a great way for me to earn some extra cash, be able to pay off my debts and save again to go travelling again. This guy has already performed NUMEROUS times in Ibiza and all over the world and now wants to do it at the Olympic Games in China. Im starting to think about the offer a bit more now...but Im not sure how i'd go doing it or how good I'd be at it, so Im really not too sure. I guess I need to talk to him about it more. It would be really awesome though!
He's heading to Japan some time soon and invited me to come with him there and live off some of the profits he makes through the fire spinning (because that is his full time job and only what he lives off....he travels rough when he travels!)...but its all so much to think about at the moment so we'll just have to see.
