I been thinking...

...I spent Saturday night at a fundraising event for a very good friend of mine whose dad died recently. You spend time, with people who are almost family, and it makes you think - how short is life?

I spent nearly three long years persuing something that I should, in hindsight, never have persued. I don't want to say it was a waste, becuase that would be very unfair. But, at the end of it, did I gain personally? Probably not. But, I'm stronger I spose. I wasn't, but now I am.

Am I happy? Yes, yes I can say that I am happy. I have a wicked job and am earning lots of dollar, I'm a drummer - I'm in a band, that's all good in the hood. I got friends and all that etc etc.

Then I met you.

The one time I was looking for nothing was the one time I found everything.
