Firstly, the guestbook is now currently up and running at the dimestore. go check it out....
Secondly, I would like to converse regarding something that is playing on my mind. It is the innocence of a certain man...
Michael Jackson is as innocent as he is actually a black man. He may be fucked up in the head yes. Most fans cannot accept that, I can. He may have been robbed of a childhood, yes - also true. But able to molest a child? Perform sexual acts on someone as helpless and as innocent as himself? No, he cannot. A victim of money hungry disgruntled fakes, that - he is.
In 1993 when Jordy Chandler and his family tried to sue MJ for sexual molestation, it was settled out of court for some $23million. A pay off some would say. Just a couple of things you won't hear about... the case was SETTLED as "gross misconduct", which comes under the category of leaving a minor at home by himself, or smacking a child, seemingly stupid things like that - NOT child molestation. Also, around one week before the charges came to light against MJ, the kids father, Mr Chandler, asked MJ to give him a few million dollars in order to build an extension on his house (a house that MJ had pretty much paid for anyway) and asked MJ to fund one of his stage shows (as he was an aspiring writer/director/producer). MJ said no. Mr Chandler got angry. Allegations then came to light. In my mind, MJ was kind of keeping any "friendship" going out of mass politeness. Not because he in truth didn’t like the family, just because it had been so long and they were in effect using his honesty and innocence against him - for money, publicity etc. So, when they found out that the claims of child molestation were not even believable to a judge, they settled for the money in order for the public to ignore the fact that they had lied, and focus on the expected claims that MJ "paid for their silence". And so we come to young Gavin Arviso....
This child had cancer, and was apparently a terminal case. One day he asked if he could meet Michael Jackson, and his family and doctors went about arranging something. A few weeks later, the phone rings, and its MJ. A few days later, MJ comes to visit. A month or so later, Gavin gets through his cancer hell, citing meeting MJ as the main reason that helped him overcome odds of survival that were seemingly stacked against him. Happy for the kid I am that he can now live his life. However, what sort of family tries to ruin the life of a man that saved the life of the son they assumed they were going to lose? Scum, that’s the sort of family. MJ befriended the family, not least Gavin and his siblings. Parties, sleepovers, the lot. Birthdays, Christmas everything was held at Neverland Ranch in order for these underprivileged kids to be happy. One day, Martin Bashir pops down to Los Angeles to see MJ and his new friends. He makes MJ look like a prick on WORLD WIDE TV. Admittedly, sometimes, MJ doesn’t help himself. But, in his own child like mind, he doesn’t understand the adult mentality of the consequences of what he is doing. To him, he is helping these kids. He wants them to have fun and be happy, like he wanted when he was kid but couldn’t be. When he invites them to his room, to sleep in his bed, he doesn’t do it for sex; he does it to see the kids happy. He, at heart, is just a lost kid who is learning how to walk again, except in an adult environment where everyone knows who you are. Everyone. Anyways... his painful honesty lets him down, much like a child. He doesn’t think about what everyone else thinks, he thinks about all the goodness and joy he brings, not in a selfish way, but because he knows that that is the reason he has befriended children. After the documentary, the family of the child hated all the press attention and the mother, a scum bag kinda slaggy prostitute sort of mum, felt a bit like MJ could have done things slightly differently in order to protect her son and family. The press, Martin Bashir, a law man person called Tom Sneddon who FUCKING HATES MJ, all influenced her - basically - to bring MJ down. Get all the money the poor dirty gypsy family can get from him.
And so that brings us to today. A forty five year old father of three loving kids. Who gives a shit if the two eldest are white and have blonde hair and blue eyes? Just because he is black, doesn’t mean they MUST be black also. Their mum is fucking white and blonde. Jesus wept...
These kids could lose the father they love cause some scumbag family and attorney want to bring this innocent man down. Is that right? Do not judge before you hear both sides of the story. In god’s honesty, I would like to think that he will be proven innocent, even if it takes a lot of money. Because, if he isn’t proven to be what he is, he will kill himself before he gets locked away. He doesn’t deserve that... solitary confinement for 23 hours a day, in an 8ft by 10ft cell with a tissue for a mattress. No make up, no decent clothes, no food, no help... he will go mad and he knows it.
However, part of me is afraid that he is already fucked. ITV did a poll around the UK asking people if they believed in "Innocent until proven guilty". 74% said yes, they did believe in it. The same people were asked the question "Do you believe Michael Jackson is innocent until proven guilty?". 76% said no, that he is guilty until otherwise. If our own nation think this way, in this media-manipulated manner, I'm afraid that arguably the single greatest musical artist of all time is going to be no more and come to the most undeserved un-dignified end anyone could have imagined, least him nor his family.
Michael Jackson is an intuitive, understanding, sympathetic and generous man to almost a fault of himself. He is honesty personified - painfully honest - and vulnerable to the point of pain. He is curious and wants to draw from people who have survived. People who have lasted. He cannot be of this planet. If he is eccentric it's because he is larger than life. What is a genius? What is a living legend? Michael Jackson - simple as. And just when you think he is done, he gives us more. There is no one that comes near to him. No one can write the lyrics, compose the tunes, dance the moves. Put some prayers out for this man, think some thoughts for this man, because he certainly doesn’t deserve to be hated in the way he is...
because I'm not losing another hero...
