I haven't updated this in forever. Just so you know, I'm not dead.
I took Intro to Editing in summer school and got an A. I'm also currently in the middle of Feature Screenwriting. That means, yes, I'm writing a movie.
It's about a cop who fights giant, mutated alligators in New York City.
What else have I been doing with my time this summer? Well, I never ended up getting a part-time job despite applying for one at the Gap. They didn't call me back but I was too busy to care and follow up much, so whatever. I'm more worried about finishing my script.
I've been watching tons of movies. Transformers, Die Hard 4, Knocked Up, and Bug are some of the ones I saw in theaters. Looking forward to Superbad and I really want to see Rescue Dawn. For some reason I'd never seen the 2nd Die Hard, so I just watched that the other day with Gabe. Saw some older James Bond movies: From Russia With Love (awesome) and You Only Live Twice (ridiculous and kinda awesome). Finally watched all of The Big Lebowski the other day. So good. Bought the dvd of Terminator 2. One of the greatest action movies ever. Practically have it memorized. Bought Being John Malkovich and the older animated Transformers movie from the 80s with Orson Welles as Unicron. Yes, Orson Welles. Leonard Nimoy, Robert Stack, and Judd Nelson are also featured. Oh, there's also the 1st season of MacGyver. He's the badass of the century -- Jack Bauer ain't got shit on MacGyver. Oh, I finally saw The Warriors too. Also rewatched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II (the one with Super Shredder) and The Road Warrior (also one of the greatest action movies ever and probably the best thing Mel Gibson has ever done). Speaking of Mel Gibson, I picked up a three-pack of the first three Lethal Weapon movies from Best Buy for super cheap. Also really awesome. And I'm watching Tremors and Deep Blue Sea for research for my movie. Being an RTF major is so awesome, I watch movies as research. Oh, I'm going to finally try and finish Werner Herzog's Aguirre: The Wrath of God. What I've seen of it is amazing, but I've got to finally get through the whole thing. I'm also going to watch Murderball and High Noon soon. What parts I've seen of High Noon are really cool.
Hot Fuzz is still the best movie that's come out all summer, though. That movie is so awesome.
Edit: Also, Anna calls me at random times usually when I'm either sleeping or should be sleeping (but I'm up because I keep retarded times). At the end of July she'll be back from Japan so she won't do that anymore, except she'll be jetlagged so she'll just want to sleep all the time instead.
