Why we need Beta Appreciation Day
Well, actually, it's kinda weird to call this a rec, per se. BUT.
My intrepid and amazing, amazing betas, Lemmypie and jmm0001 have sprinkled me with fairy dust done me an enormous honour favour (ooh lookit, my Canuck's coming out now what with all the 'ou's. I'm out and about, I tell ya).
A few of you have been missing Sam in Fire in the Hole. Jeeeezus, sez I. It's all about Dean and John (and Bobby, man, don't forget Bobby) and what happens to them that first year that Sam's in Stanford. But what about the phone calls? you've asked. The phone messages! What about SAAAAAAAAM?
So Lemmy and fearless jmm0001 took that and are now posting a series of shorts...about...Sam picking up Dean's calls. They are so involved in Fire in the Hole's development process they know this stuff inside and out, know where the story's going and what I go through (mostly ice cream, really) to get the story out. I'm really pretty focused on The Freakin' Task at Hand, so I'm fucking relieved delighted that they're taking this on.
Lemmy drew the short straw, so she's doing the first message. jmm0001, after decades months of lurking, has finally bowed to the inevitable and obtained her first shiny new lj account! And she even let Lemmypie and me NAME HER. God, the honour! So jmm0001 will henceforth be known as...sasquashme, proving once again that you should never, ever, let Lemmypie and me name anything.
