How many freaking ways can I say "Oh Dean?" You LEFT HIM WITH THE WOLF, wiht a SAW THROUGH HIM. And he's CRYING at the end of this chapter, and I know I can just hear the sound he's making.

Nano is...going. Dunno about the "well" part, but it's going. I also have an acid stomach and a huge zit thanks to it. Not fair in the slightest.

Does John *really* think that Dean would skip out on them for weeks to go play paintball and screw around, leaving his father injured, his Sammy unprotected, and both of them short on food and facing possible eviction?! That's real nice, John, you ass!

Oh, I know. I am a little rough on poor John. The abuse I heap on the man. Thing is, I actually LIKE him. In other fics, I'm afraid I see him exactly the same way too. He's complicated and scared and proud and not very well adjusted. Very pleased that this is creeping you out, but not half so much as your horrible whateverthefuckthatis...a Tasmanian Devil, maybe. *shivers*

This is a good gen wee!chester story, with some great insights into all three of the guys. Endearing as all hell and it really makes you feel for how tough John had it, especially during the early years-

Ooooh, YES. Beki of Dorvan. I have read that one. Love her take on John. Not mine, but I appreciate how other people paint really, really convincing portraits of the characters. Really, it's one of the real joys and surprises of the fandom.

And that little critter makes me wanna cry. Tears of terror. Big tears of sheer horror.
