Results of going to High Risk Dr.

I went to my high risk dr. today so I could turn in my numbers of my glucose tests. I have to test 4 times a day (values I need to have in parenthesis):

Fasting (between 70 and 90)
1hr after breakfast (< 140)
1hr after lunch (< 140)
1hr after dinner (< 140)

Lately, my fasting glucose is above what it is supposed to be, so they talked to me about either changing when I eat dinner or having to take insulin shots for the overnight hours. Both choices don't sound too appealing to me, since I would either change my eating schedule COMPLETELY or take a shot every day. They want me to have my 3 meals and at least two snacks, all 3 hours apart. The only way I will be able to do that is if I start waking up at 6am every day. This also means that I will have to have my meals without my husband at any of them, which will cause more issues. Primarily, when he and I eat at separate times, he tends to skip meals since he does not need to feed me too. Oh well.

Anyways, I am trying to change my schedule today, and so far it is not going very well. I just tested my after lunch glucose and it was 155 (I am not supposed to go about 140). My body is not liking that I am changing my routine and is staring to go out of whack. Lets hope that this does not keep up, or I will have to be on insulin whether I like it or not.

This is what I think I am going to need to do:

Wake up at 8am (six is too early since I can't seem to get to bed until late)
Take my fasting glucose
Have my breakfast right after the test
Take my glucose test after breakfast around 9am
Have lunch around 12pm (skip my first snack since it is only 4 hours)
Take my glucose test after lunch around 1pm
Have my snack around 3pm
Have dinner around 6pm
Take my glucose test after dinner around 7pm
Have a light snack before bed

Hopefully, this will work. I am not holding my breath though.
