My Dog and Pony Show

Jun 21, 2005 17:51

You say, I'm always on the go
With my Dog and Pony Show.
A one man circus, making a fool of suckers
Its never a good mime, till someone gets slimed,
At my Dog and Pony show, that happens every time.
A punch line here, a cartwheel there, even a somersault,
All to charm my way to the top.

But when the lights come on,
And the paint comes off
When the mask is gone,
And the joke's gone soft
What will you say to me?
What will you say to the real me? Honestly.

I am much to blame, I built this wall of shame.
But I had no choice, I needed a voice
For my little vice, I shall pay this hefty price
Cos now, all I can do, is to steal glances at you
While hiding behind, my Dog and Pony doodle doo.
