Super-Mega Update of Valor

Salutations readers of my journal,
I have traveled a great number of miles since my last entry and encountered strange beasts on my fantastic voyage. This includes finals, and weezer. Beginning with the former, they went fairly well. Except for Cal 2, gulp. I wrote my final paper for history in about 5 hours, but I was fairly happy with it. Directly after I turned that in, I had to finish packing my stuff and rearrange my room so I could head off to Phoenix with Eric. Before leaving, we sampled some cheap table wine that came in a carton, which I had had since christmas break, I think. We drank it out of Haagen Dazs cups, which had been procured from the mall several weeks earlier. So, as you can tell, it was a very classy occasion. The wine was, undoubtedly, the worst wine I had ever tasted. One person claimed it tasted like rubbing alcohol. While I can't verify this, having never tasted rubbing alcohol, I will say that it smelled similar. Said person is quite the wine (rubbing alcohol?) connoisseur, however. Therefore, I trust their judgment. So, we finally got out of Tucson and into Phoenix. I spent my last night in Arizona hanging with the Eri(c)(k)s. We played on a playground, where the sand turned out to be lava and you could only cross it with magic shoes that lasted but three seconds. There were two casualties. I flew out of Phoenix the following morning. The rocky mountains are beautifully snow capped around Denver.
Flash forward to Saturday. I went to the Weezer Concert in Atlanta with Matt Davis. The Venue was perfect (the Tabernacle) because its a bit bigger than a club, but you can still get very close to the band. Weezer put on a rockin show. They played the classics from the blue album like No One Else, Buddy Holly, Undone, Say It Ain't So (loudest response of the night), In The Garage, and My name is Jonas. Matt and I led an uprising toward the front of the crowd during My Name Is Jonas, and we got really close to the stage. The part of the crowd we had been in prior to that was just standing there, not moving at all during the show and we wanted to jump around so we had to get to the front. We had a better time after that. They played some stuff off of the new album and it sounded tight. I'm a huge fan of Hold Me so that was a highlight, and they also played Haunt You Every Day during the encore, which is my second favorite off of the new album. They played a few songs from pinkerton and the green album, but what stood out most for me was the opener and the closer. They opened with Tired of Sex which is one of my favorite Weezer songs because of the solo, which Rivers shredded, with his eyes closed. And they closed with Hash Pipe. While its not one of my favorite album tracks, it was fun to jump around to as the last song of the encore. All in all, it was a great show. The fact that we were close to the band made it even better. Rivers didn't move around much. He just stood there and strummed his guitar and sang excellently. I guess thats just how he is. He waved goodbye and promised to come back in the summer (its not already summer?).
Upon returning to chattavegas, I made a grand return to Stake n Shake, along with Christopher, Christine, and Matt. I also saw Anna there....think about that. John Donaldson and Stine were also there. Donaldson is a beast. Anyway, it was good to be back there, as they do not have Stake n Shake in Arizona. I missed it horribly. Since then, I've just been hanging out with the same old crew as always, though I haven't tracked down Gavin yet. Its good to be back. I'll start working at Pizza Hut again this weekend, so that should be good times. I need to save up some cash-money for school and all that jazz.
For now, I'm looking forward to this Sunday, whence I shall return to the Tabernacle in
Atlanta to see Nine Inch Nails. So that should be good times. Guess I'll just be hangin around tow and sleeping in the rest of the week. If anybody hurr in Hixson wants to hang out, you can hit me on the cell 520 400 0044. If anyone in Arizona wants to hangout, you'll have to wait about three months. I still love you guys though.
Take a deep breath, its almost over.

"If you want it,
You can have it.
But you gotta learn to reach out there and grab it."
