It's my life......<3 Bon Jovi

So whats been going on in my sad little world in the past few days? Well, last weekend was a movie marathon basically. I watched two movies friday night and three saturday night. I have the monthly movie pass at blockbuster, which was only 10 bucks for the first month, but i gotta cancel it after that cause then they jack that shit up to $24.95. Anyway, the movies, in order that i watched them, were 12 Monkeys, Rushmore, Bottlerocket, A Clockwork Orange, and The Eye. 12 Monkeys was pretty good, Brad Pitt was a crazy ass and Bruce Willis was decent as a time(?) traveler, but i prefer se7en (movie w/ Pitt that came out the same year). Rushmore was fucking fantastic. Non-stop hilarity, with a slight serious side. It was a very unique story and had tons of cool camera shots/angles. What could be better than a 15 year old kid who writes plays and tries to hook up with a 20 something year old teacher whos husband is dead? And don't forget that his best friend is Bill Murray. Seriously, my favorite Wes Anderson movie. I had seen Bottlerocket before, but its always a good watch. Gotta love the on screen chemistry between the Wilson brothers and the humor writing is awesome. I <3 Wes Anderson. I had also seen A Clockwork Orange, but i could watch that one a million times too. I love what Kubrick does with the story, and his shots are always amazing as well. Can't get enough of the scene when he is getting transferred out of the prison and does the crazy halt thing when he walks up to the guard. I <3 Kubrick also. The Eye was immensely creepy. The first half of it at least. It was mostly in Cantonese, so you have to read the subtitles, but that didn't bother me. "Why are you sitting in my chair?" Seriously, ghosts don't like it when you sit in their chairs. They flip out on you. That was the creepiest part of the movie. Truly scary stuff. The second half slowed down though, made the movie worse overall. They even tried to throw a message in there at the end, but it didn't really work out. So here come the ratings:
12 Monkeys: 8/10
Rushmore: 10/10
Bottlerocket: 8/10
A Clockwork Orange: 9/10
The Eye: 6/10 (the first half alone gets a 9/10 for horror movies)
So Sunday, right. I did physics most of the day (hell yea). After that was done, I went to an Adult Swim Screening we had here on campus and got to see a new SeaLab 2021 that was funny as hell and I got some free Adult Swim stuff. More specifically, I got two posters (one sealab, one aqua teen), a cup with crazy pictures on it, Adult Swim playing cards (the mooninites are the jokers), and an adult swim hat (toboggan). I wear it Ben Ging style. So that was awesome. Then I was up all night doing my astronomy homework Sunday night, because I didn't really start until aboot 4 am, as usual. I'm seriously not motivated to do work at all. So, after classes monday, I went with Eric and Erik (with a k) and put a deposit down on the apartament we're living in next year. It was 100 bucks and we're guaranteed an apartament. Its a really awesome apartament. Its 1300 square feet, which is fucking huge in case you didn't know, and it has a fireplace. It works out to about 350-60 a month, which includes utilities, cable internet, etc. So thats kickass. Eric and Erik are both extremely cool cats too. There won't be any roommate problems here. So after we got back from the apartament, at approximately 5 pm, I went to sleep and did not awaken until midnight. Score. Then I was up until about 6 am doing nothing and i went back to sleep until 10 30 am tuesday morning (i didn't have my 8 am english class, thank you jesus). Then I had to do my physics lab report, so that required me to skip my calc 2 lecture, eh. Physics lab was easy this week. After lab, Eric and I ventured to best buy and purchased the new Mars Volta album "Frances the Mute". Sure, I've had the leak since before christmas, but I'll gladly give up my seven dollars and fifty-two cents for the greatest album of 2005. I got the booklet now, and an actual cd. Couldn't find the bonus dvd edition, if a US one actually does exist. This album is the best new music I've heard in a long while. They don't care about anything. They use whatever instruments they want and sing in spanish for parts of the album. They have an awesome, black keyboard player with glasses (Ikey Owens) who has mad solo skills. Theres some killer trumpet solos too. The whole album is 100% gold. It so unique and the musicianship is of the highest quality. Salsa-core anyone? The Mars Volta is the new Pink Floyd. Not that they sound like Pink Floyd, but they're just as innovative. This album is gonna stick with me for a long time. Best $7.52 I ever spent. To round out the day, I went to the gym and ran the usual 2 miles. Whoopee. I made an interesting discovery afterward. If you run two miles a day, 4-5 days a week, then you can eat whatever you want and still lose weight. Seriously, all I eat is like chicken strips, pizza, ice cream, and fruit smoothies. I still lose weight. I guess you also have to have weight to lose, and you have to really like cardio workouts. Running makes me feel better too, after I'm done at least. But yea, I weighed in today at aboot 176 whereas I started the semester at about 188. The secret is running two miles a day. Can't wait to up it to three. w00t.
If you just read all that, take a breath, I'm proud of you and your interest in my uninteresting life. I'll try to have some more writing for next time. Since I know you want to read that, right? Time for bed (4 am).

"I count the days to find
What was left behind.
Only these names I clutch
Will lead me to my home."
