So yeah, I get home this afternoon and I'm going to go pay my insurance bill. I went to Progressive's website to pay my bill and saw that my policy was cancelled. Well, this is a shock. I call them up and ask why (I'm a month overdue, but nothing worse than what I've done before). It turns out that they cancelled it on the 9th because of my suspended license back in March. what do they send me to warn me of this impending cancellation? No E-mails, no letters, no phone calls, and 10 days ago when I went to check my account, all it said was that was the aforementioned month overdue.
When I was talking to the woman, she said that she can't reinstate my policy, but she can transfer me to someone that would be happy to write me a new one. I said no thanks and hung up. I've since gone to State Farm and now have a new policy with them (And it's cheaper to boot).
And as an added bonus, look at what just arrived in my e-mail box, Dated July 18th, 2013 at 6:30 PM:
"Your policy was canceled with a balance due
Please note that you no longer have insurance with us, effective 07/09/2013."(<---- 9 days earlier then when the fucking email was sent!)
Mind you, this is AFTER I already paid them the balance due!
Progressive, I have put up with this shit before, but You always were able to make it right. Well, I'm tired of trying to make it right with you. Way to treat one of your 11 year long customers: By jacking up my rates almost $100 a month earlier this year, and now this shit.
Sorry, we are done. Fuck off, Progressive, I'm on to something better.
