American Idol and my Father's polo shirts

Some interesting conversations that I had this weekend with my dad and step-mother.
(In the car with Ronda)
Ronda: So you know your father's been asking if you're gay yet."
Me: "That's nice."
(In the middle of the Men's department)
Ronda "Patrick did you tell your dad what we got him at Old Navy?"
Me: "No."
Ronda: "Jim, we got you some really cute polo T's for work!"
Dad: "You didn't...seriously? Seriously. That's all I've got. Open up my closet and that's all you'll see. Blue, gray, and green polo T shirts. Ok...what colors did you get?"
Me: "Um, blue and gray..."

(In the middle of an Applebee's)
Ronda: "You should really try out for American Idol."
Me: "What?"
Ronda:"I'll be your coach."
Me: "Wait...what? American Idol?"
Ronda: "Yeah! Your father, Chelsee, and I can stand outside of the door with Ryan Seacrest and wait for you to come out. Then when you do come out of the door and you hold up your sheet and say "I'm going to Hollywood!" Then I'll jump up and down like they do on tv and...
Me: "And Dad will probably turn around and walk away while Chelsee flirts with Ryan Seacrest and I pretend like I don't know any of you."
Ronda: "So you'll do it?"
Me: "I'm not doing American Idol."
Ronda: "Just don't say no yet."

I've now seen the first two season's of The Office in their entirety. NO wI feel like my life is Office-esc. I feel like I've got camera's fallowing me. I actually almost turned and started making a commentary on Saturday during a great moment between the check out clerk and my step -mother at Dillard's. It was a great weekend.

P.S. Mina if you see this. I'll be home tomorrow instead of today. I left my phone at home so I wanted to let you know before I get back to call. Ok everyone, peace out. Viva!
