38 multi-fandom icons made for
20inspirations. This round's theme was epitome, and I'll be honest, I feel like I suck at thinking up epitomes, but in the end, I managed to make 20 icons + several variations/alts. I feel like some of these are rather cliche, though. There aren't enough icons from any single fandom to be worth cross-posting, so you'll likely see most of these again when I make larger, fandom specific posts.

Wallpaper by
takethewords. 2) Reunite-Amy Pond, the girl who runs off with the doctor the night before her wedding. And whose memory of the doctor and his old, new, borrowed, and blue box brings him back into reality after being erased. 3) Vid: This is where we live. I wanted to make a Donna icon, and the thing that struck me most was that she loses her memeories of her travels with the Doctor. When I saw this vid, I thought of how the pages of that chapter in Donna's life are now blank. Initially, I actually made a completely different icon with a stock image of a blank book, but decided I didn't really like it, so I started over completely from scratch in a totally new direction. The end result is nothing like the original inspiration. 4) Texture: Because Martha was studying medicine when she met the Doctor and eventually became a real doctor. 5)
Photo: The thing that stuck me about this photo was two people meeting, getting to know each other, and experiencing their lives together in a natural progression , but the Doctor and River are the exact opposite, experiencing their relationship in the opposite, reverse order from each other, like they are traveling in opposite directions and occasionally, their paths cross and sparks fly.

6) Texture: The Tardis as a time machine. 7) Texture: Padme + Anakin gave us Luke and Leia for the original Star Wars trilogy, and to me, that's their most important contribution to SW, not counting that Anakin turns into Darth Vader, which I the prequel didn't really sell me on. 8)
Icon: Bones solving murders by examining the evidence in the bones. I was originally inspired by the use of the skull in
darlingbones' icon, but it morphed into something a little different. 9)

motorized: Mulder searching for little green technically grey men. 10) Word: Open

11) General theme/Artisit's choice: Scully the skeptic. 12) Vid: This Is Where We Live. 13) General theme/Artisit's choice: While Minerva is so much more than just an animagus, she is the first animagus we're introduced to in the Harry Potter series. 14) General theme/Artisit's choice: In the end, it always boils down to Harry versus Voldemort. 15) Texture: Sam the astrophysicist.

16) General theme/Artist's choice: To me, this cap embodies the epitome of Stargate, the team going together through the stargaze to one of an "infinite" number of destinations. Technically, there is a limit to the number of stargates in existence, but you catch my drift. And so I took that Buzz Lightyear quote and used it here to serve my own purpose. 17)
Photo: The first thing that popped into my head when I saw that photos was human versus colon, but I went in a different direction and just used their ships to represent them. 18) General theme/artists choice: Again, Laura Roslin is more than a woman with breast cancer, but that is how she is first introduced to us at the very beginning, and she battles with it thought the entire series, until it claims her life. I feel like the concept behind the composition was better in theory than actual practice. A 100 x 100 pixel canvas doesn't do it justice, and I had to leave out an image because it just wasn't clear enough to make out on such a small scale. Again, I have misappropriated, and slightly modified a quote, this time a Starbuck quote, to suite my own purposes. As all humanity battle the cylons, so do cancer patients battle their disease. 19) General theme/artists choice: Even after he finds out he's a cylon, Saul Tigh doesn't let it shake his his sense of duty to Adama or the Colonial fleet. 20) Texture: I really liked the bird feather texture, and it made me think of Jenny from Forrest Gump (which was on TV last weekend) when she prayed to God to make her a bird so she could fly away from all her troubles. And then I thought of Starbuck, who was also abused as a kid, and who quite literally flew away in her viper. Granted, Starbuck is a much stronger person than Jenny was, but I was running short of ideas at this point.
