What is a Big Bang?
There are many different types of Big Bangs, all varying slightly, but generally a bigbang is a process in which authors write long fics (10,000 or 20,000 words) and artists make art/fanmixes for them.

My head is literally going to explode even asking about this while I'm scrambling to finish my spn_j2, but say in the case that my head doesn't explode, I have two questions:

1) The story I would be interested in writing for this has had a rough version of the first few scenes posted to a comment fic meme, but never to my journal or formally on any comm - can I still count that as an un-posted story?

2) I noticed that fanmixes are allowed - at claims, would it be possible to request not to be chosen for a fanmix? Nothing against the lovely fanmixers out there, I just have a personal issue with mixes.

Boy, I'm all kinds of trouble ;)

No, your head will not explode! You're too good! :-)

1. I think in that case that is a posted story, because it was (in fact) posted... :-) Can you do a follow up to that, and add 40k more words? Because it'd be awesome if you'll be in this challenge.

2. Ok, please send me this request with your rough draft, and I'll add this to the claim template. Is it ok?

I'm glad someone is confident ;) Well, it only kind of exploded so I guess I should sign up for this one now.

I'm trying to decide between two different stories, neither of which has had more than a few thousand words posted to memes (one had a scene and a half posted to hoodie_time the other was a single scene to blindfold_spn. And I'd definitely be adding at least 40K to that.

That'd be perfection - thanks so much!

I know you said that Original Fiction isn't allowed, but are original characters in established fandoms allowed?

If one of the actor or their character is in the fandom, and they're main focus of your story, OCs are okey.

Curious, are never posted wip's allowed? If yes, an additional 40k new words to be written, or 40k total regardless?

If you never posted then this is no problem. You are good. And it's enough to write only 40k words total.

I've just signed up for hc_bingo Is it ok to use my bbb story to fill some of the prompts? It will only be posted according to your comms rules etc - I just need to link it to the hc_bingo post when I do that sometime in December.

You mean the posting days? It'll be posted in the comm with friends lock (so make sure you're not just watching the comm).
It'll be posted near Nov 21, but I'll make sure to ask before what is the day that is not ok for the participants.
