WTF? R u trying to get me all riled up? Do you want a serious ass kicking? What makes you the guru of music. Please change title of entry to "In my opinion, these are the worst bands/musicians today". Obviously some ppl like Nickleback, Default, Linkin Park, and Theory of a Deadman. If they completely sucked and actually were "the worst bands today" then they wouldn't have risen from NOTHING, started bands with their buds and made millions of dollars. We are not talking about manufactured bands here, these guys found each other, realized they had something good that ppl liked and made something of themselves. What makes the bands you listen to any different? I don't like country, but apparently there are hundreds of millions of ppl that do. I don't, so I just don't listen to country music. Are we all supposed to like the music you listen to? How boring would that be? I am sure some ppl didn't like Zeppelin, what if some guy said they were the worst band ever and never let anyone listen to them? Then there would have never been Ramble ( ... )

You're right it is my opinion. But those bands didn't make it big because they're good bands or innovative, they got together and said let's do something that's already been done and have fun. Bar bands gone big-time. They made it big cause of good marketing and a public who willingly buys up that sugar coated pop (no matter how tough they try to be and sound). There are so many other bands that aren't played on the radio that are ten times more talented and have integrity in what they're doing. There just meat and potatoes rock and roll. Boring and okay for people that aren't interested in interesting music. I happen to like country music as well...not new country...but classic country musicians carrying on tradition with different approaches. Lyle Lovett, Dwight Yokum, etc... I follow no fads or trends. No great bands to come will ever cite the above bands as influences. But they won't be heard anyway because record companies only want what sells. Courtney go INDIE:) You won't be sorry. But to each their own.

good lord jeff... give it up. you're litterally vomiting your opinions on us as if you believe it will change our minds.
and that is ONE thing, i CANNOT stand. you ARE allowed to have your own opinion, but to try and convince us, or change our minds because YOU think that your way of thinking is better, is just plain RETARDED.
its like a bible thumper (nothing towards anybody who believes in god, i do as well, but im using the expresion for an extreme) trying to impress their beliefs on somebody who doesnt believe in a higher power. dont you think that's inconsiderate at all? because i do. and thats what you're doing. trying to conjure up all these excuses as to why you believe the above mentioned bands are the " Worst bands/musicians today ".

YOU ARE ENTITLED TO YOUR OWN OPINION. and so are we.

stop hating on our bands, and we'll stop calling you names behind your back. deal? good.

no facts... open YOUR ears...

state reasons to support your accusations

how are they not good bands or innovative? because you say so? not a good enough reason. and sonny, music, in general has already been done. its called a genre.

"There are so many other bands that aren't played on the radio that are ten times more talented and have integrity in what they're doing. There just meat and potatoes rock and roll. Boring and okay for people that aren't interested in interesting music."

well how about this, all of your "indie" music, sounds like shit. and its all the same.

and how am i not interested in interesting music? back up your so called "facts". good lord jeff, you are just too close minded for your own good.

Genres are created in part by a band's new sound. Noise pop: Jesus and Mary Chain, Noise Rock: Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth
Shoegazing: My Bloody Valentine Britpop: Suede, Oasis, The La's You've prolly never heard any of these bands and they do not sound alike. Indie stands for independent music and it is not all shit and they do not all sound alike. Check out the All music guide site and read about some good bands and check out the essays on some genres. Try expanding your musical horizons. Nickelback and the rest are you good if you're looking for cookie cutter rock and rehashed chords, riffs and lyrics. Before you start talking music...read up...you don't know what you're talking about. P.S. Default, Nickelback and Default don't sound the same to you? Come on now...they practically all the same band.

default nickelback and default?
well yes, i know default and default are the same band. doesnt take a genius to figure that out.

im sorry, but how about i like a certain type of music? i've branched out, and i didnt like much of it. there are all kinds of other bands that i like, that some of which you probably dont even know. dont treat me like im musically challenged. i know what i like when i hear it. and just because you dont like it... doesnt mean that its not good. maybe just not your taste.

Jeff I have tried and tried to get Court to open her mind to some bands that are not the pop shit you speak of, but alas she will have nothing to do with them.
