On Saturday I was forced to put Jasmine down. She was going on 12 years old and had lived with me for 6 years. Her hips had been getting worse for the last year or so despite meds and supplaments and she had developed a tumor which was growing into her spine. The tumor was starting to paralyze her back end which was compounding her hip problems and causing bladder control problems. It was her time and I have no doubt that I did the right thing in sending her on. But its still hard to let go. I woke up this morning, stumbled downstairs, and went to let her out... I'm sure that I'll be doing that for a while. In her honor and with help from my company we will be sponsering a stall in her name at the niagara falls humane society.
