Slang term of the day: Brick
Definition: fucking cold as shit
Usage: I'm not going to school today. It's mad brick out!
I really wish I understood the etymology of this word. Any hypothesis absolutely escapes me.
This weekend was mad brick. As a result I spent a lot of money on car services and cabs. It was still an awesome weekend cause I didn't have to teach all last week or today. It was regents week. High stakes standardized tests that determine what kind and if students will receive a diploma. They are super stressed out but it's one awesome week of nonwork for me. Too bad the regents exam absolutely eliminates creativity and flexibility in the curiculum.
My spring break is end of march/ begining of April. Planning a trip to Iowa. :)
