zidane's indefinite international hiatus is finally over. why did he make me suffer like that. needless to say i am a happy boy. zidane+henry+vieira=world domination.
as a fellow fan of an "unappreciated" sport here in dixie, its nice to see im not the only torch bearer from time to time. And since your telling me whats going on soccer, some mammoth moves happened yesterday around the NHL too:
Peter Forsburg (2 x Norris Trophy winner) was traded to Philadelphia for a contract worth 2 years/10 MuuMuuMILLION dollarzzzz.
in turn, Philly shiped off Jeremey Roenick, who is pretty much a huge prick, and a major reason why the NHLs lockout happened. he was sent to the Kings along w/ a 3rd round pick in 06 where he should blend in nicely in LA.
i'm sure only a select few actually read my soccer ramblings or even care. i bet you are you more than ready for the nhl to start up again. i don't know what i'd do if i couldn't watch soccer for a whole season.
oh, he's good. but not that good. let me put it this way... he would definitely not defeat michael ritch in a 1v1 panna death match. he just can't sort out his feet in tight spaces and he has been heavily criticized for being predictable and uncreative. all in all he's just your typical rec star.

on a more serious note, i believe the pope owes zidane his blessings, as we are now one step closer to world peace.
