Yes... I was also thinking that (about Mundungus) since he did nick all that stuff from Grimmauld Place....
What's your take on when Snape killed Dumbledore? Do you think the, "Severus, please," was Dumbledore asking Snape to kill him and save Malfoy's blood innocence or do you think Snape really is evil?
Neither of us had considered the possibility that he wasn't evil after that, particularly b/c "Snape gazed for a moment at Dumbledore, and there was revulsion and hatred etched in the harsh lines of his face."
However, there are slim possibilities that Snape really is that good an actor, or that his revulsion and hatred are aimed toward Malfoy, but that's not something we picked up on at all...
Also, if Snape were to maintain his position with the Dark Lord, as well as live, he had to kill Dumbledore. Had Snape not killed him, the deatheaters (and/or the unbreakable vow) would certainly have killed Snape. Unfortunately for Snape, "assuming" he's still good, by killing Dumbledore, he has separated himself from the already doubtful Order.
[Mind you, most of this comes from Margie, not me]
Do you think there's any chance of Malfoy's turning away from the Dark Side?
I do think there is still a chance for Malfoy... not that I think he will ever become a saint or anything, but I do believe that he just doesn't have it in him to be a killer... that's why he couldn't kill Dumbledore
