hi all ...
i know i've been away and, for those who care, i apologize ... as my longer-term friends o' the net know, that sometimes happens w/ me and mine ... for a variety of good, r/l reasons.
this time, there were really three things:
- working on acquiring another home in another state; this will allow me to be closer to my business partner, whose life has taken a turn for the shitty of late ... this will also put us closer to my little girl during the time we spend there ...
- LJ has been a *huge* waste of time ... i try to be a patient man, but having to retry a post for an hour sometimes does not encourage the success of the medium ... this thing is weird enough anyway (not really chat, and writing a public journal is not, to me, of any real interest) ... i've tried to use it to just keep up on and with a few good folks, but that's been frustrating of late ...
- i much prefer a more interpersonal, cozy interaction w/ friends ... i prefer real chats and/or e-mail, but that has not proven very fruitful i'm afraid ... it's just me and my ways ...
but, i believe i'll be around more in the near future, for whatever *that* is worth ...
