i've been thinking [for quite some time now] about what it is i'm looking for & i think i finally know...
i want some1 i can argue w/. some1 who will tell me the truth, but not hurt my feelings by doing so. some1 who would rather walk w/ me @ 3 am than sleep. some1 who is warm on cold nights & likes to cuddle. some1 who is ticklish and likes to wrestle, but doesn't just let me win. some1 who will bring me soup when i'm sick and flowers when i'm down. some1 who knows the importance of all i value & hold dear. some1 w/ some sort of faith, but not dogmatic or zealous. some1 who will visit me @ work if they know i'll be having a slow day or call me when i'm having a bad day. some1 who'll hold my hand in public, go w/ me to the beach @ nite, and leave me notes under my windshield wiper. some1 who isn't str8edge but also not reckless. some1 who likes watching the moon & movies. some1 who knows when to laugh and how to cry [and isn't ashamed to do either]. some1 who understands rain and music. some1 who doesn't mind me rolling down the window and cranking up the heat in the dead of winter. some1 who likes the wind on his cheek and a glimmer in his eye. some1 who loves kids and wants some of his own just so he can give them the world. some1 who is almost as odd as i am. some1 who will listen to my advice and give me advice just as quickly. some1 who likes random phone calls over silly things [even @ 3am]. some1 who loves my family. some1 who is just as comfortable in silence as he is in rapt conversation. some1 who is intelligent but acts dumb whenever he sees fit. some1 who appreciates art and THE artS. some1 who knows what time i was born & what day but not my favorite color. some1 who looks so deep into my eyes that he doesn't know what color they are. some1 who isn't afraid to share his soul w/ me but guards it closely around others. some1 who loves shorts and sandals. some1 who'll hold my hand if i'm getting a tattoo & squeeze back. some1 who thinks margaret cho and robin williams are both funny, that bush is dumb, and that smoking kills. some1 that calls my voicemail just to hear my voice [when he knows i can't answer]. some1 who listens to every word i say and reads every word i write and wishes i'd never hush...
