LJ, Zombies, and Bart Simpson

Thanks to everybody who wished me a happy birthday. It was a pretty good one. So, how was everyone's Easter? Kelly and I had Amy over for a combination birthday-Passover-Easter deal. It was fun. We got to watch Suicide Kings, which I hadn't seen in quite a while. I love that movie. Ira IS the man.

Anyway, I've got a few things to talk about, and there will even be some pictures at the end. I haven't done that in quite a while, let me tell you. To make it a little easier on your friends page, though, I decided to use some cut tags. You can thank me later.

So, like you might have read in Kelly's journal, I helped her change her style and colors yesterday. She wanted to use the "Component" style, but I convinced her "Haven" was much cooler (if "much cooler" means that it's pretty much a mirror-image, and I like the stuff on the left side better). Then I came to my boring journal and decided I wanted that style too. Since I didn't have a paid account, though, it wouldn't let me. Kelly agreed to get me one of the 2 month ones (long enough to fix things), as long as I put up some more user icons. Her obsession has now crossed over into my journal. I like them, and maybe I'll put up a few more of myself (I mean, I already have the cone one). I also need to change the little mood icons again. I'll get around to it eventually.

Saturday, Kelly and I went to go see a movie about people coming back from the dead. No, not that one. The other one. Personally, I really liked it. Granted, it wasn't the original or anything, but that was pretty obvious going into it. And I'm not a big fan of the fast zombie. Here's a comparison of the two, courtesy of this guy:

Anyway, despite those setbacks, the movie ended up being really good. I recommend it.

Here's the real meat of this post. Tonight, Kelly and I went to go see Nancy Cartwright give a speech. She does the voices of Bart, Ralph, and Nelson on the Simpsons, and well as some more voices on that show and elsewhere. We were the first people there, so we got the best seats in the auditorium. It was really cool to see her speak in all the voices, and she's really funny too. And she gave out Butterfingers! Anyway, here's pictures:

This blurry picture is of her throwing us Butterfingers.

I originally intended this post to be much more interesting, but Kelly and I rented "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and we have to finish it tonight. Sorry. Hope the comic and pictures make up for things.

Oh, and John Kerry is coming to campus on Friday morning. Kelly and I might go. There will be a free Bon Jovi concert too. Kerry likes to show he's hip with the youngsters, snowboarding and Bon Jovi. I'll let you know if anything cool happens.
