So this Saturday at 3pm there will be a Bi (Parenting) Picnic in St James' Park, off the Mall. Do come! More details:
- It's at 3pm because that's when the Pride march officially finishes. It's possible the march will still be going on, but I'll make sure someone is in the park from 3pm.
- The venue is St James's Park because it's right next to Trafalgar Square where the Pride festival is being held. I plan to be visible from the Mall and not too far from Trafalgar Square. The Mall is one of the big roads off Trafalgar Square, under Admiralty Arch. I will try to signpost us with purple umbrellas.
- Don't forget to join the march as well!
slightlyfoxed will doubtless post all about where to meet etc later in the week.
- I've put Parenting in brackets because although this is a family meetup, it's also very much open to all, and I suspect that given the weather, quite a few bi people might fancy lounging around on the grass for a bit. So children are not required, just tolerance of them.
- I'm not sure how long the picnic will go on. I can probably guarantee we'll be around till 5 at least, but after that it will depend on various things (weather, state of kids etc).
- I will provide some snacks, drinks, plastic plates etc, but I can't guarantee to bring enough for everybody. There's a Tesco's at Trafalgar Square, though, and various other shops within walking distance. And St James' Park sells ice creams etc.
- Looking forward to seeing some of you!
