Joe's got a little sass.

This is what you do when you can't sleep: Visit C-SPAN.org and seek out the lulz. The brilliant thing about all this is that everything is funny to me at 3 in the morning, but hopefully the following clips are funny at all times of the day. If anything, I find them fascinating.

(Hat-tip to jdarkling for ~inspiring me~ with her original amazing C-SPAN trawlinz of Joe's exploits in the Senate. I REMAIN A MERE N00B.)

1. July 30, 1986
Questioning Chief Justice Rehnquist during his confirmation hearing. Oh, this is good.

2. September 17, 1987
Joe held a morning news conference to address the well-publicized concerns of integrity in his '88 presidential campaign. Well, at least, it started out that way. By the end it was like STORYTIME WIFF MR. BIDEN. WHICH IS MY FAVORITE THING, EVER.

3. September 29, 1996
One of the debates in the '96 Delaware senatorial campaign. Seriously, this is one of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life. You have the whiny Libertarian and the usual Republican asshat; BOTH GET SCHOOLED, BIDEN-STYLE. Incredible, the entire thing.

Which I can't embed: Seriously, watch this awesomesauce. Even just skim through it, if you lack the time.

4. October 29, 1996
Same campaign, later debate. I enjoyed the following smackdown:

Because I cannot embed again, click to watch.

(I wish Joe had debated Sarah Palin the way he did in those two clips right there. It would have been so freaking entertaining.)

5. Here is something I found the other day which you may or may not have seen already on ontd_political a while ago. It's an episode of Auto-Tune the News, which reveals Joe's unintentional singing ability. Careful, it's mind-blowing:
