Today's lunch
Ironically, the day after I wrote an obituary for the man who allegedly coined the phrase "There's no such thing as a free lunch," I got a free lunch. The cafe was shutting down early for the day, I showed up at 3:30, and they told me to take anything I liked from the salad bar for free. Ok, it wasn't perfectly free, because I left a $2 tip.
Lunch:
-salad: romaine, green peppers, carrots with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
-roasted red peppers and a few cubes of feta cheese
-a piece of chicken breast, with spices
-some heavenly ground beef stew with eggplant, peppers and cheese(?)
-oatmeal cookie
To drink at the office:
-Wal-borne in water. That would be the "Airborn" cold-prevention generic knockoff
-black coffee
From two days ago:
-One small Tootsie roll before bed. It was a Burning Man leftover, I confess
