Pitchers and catchers report today!

(Slightly altered from something Keith Olbermann said the other night. Part of why I watch Keith is that, no matter how well he does politics and other news, he's still very obviously a baseball guy at heart.)

The current temp here is 13 degrees F (about -10 C I think). There are several inches of snow and/or ice outside, though main roads are clear and most side streets are passable, which is why my location is "work".

I meant to do a post about ice raking last night. This is a twist on show shoveling I do in this sort of weather, to make my driveway and front steps also passable, but after I was done with it last night I was too tired. (There's a filk there somewhere, "Ice Raking" to the tune of Deep Purple's "Space Truckin'", but I don't have time to write it now.)

Part of why I love baseball is that it means spring. And summer, and fall, too, of course, but this time of year it's just nice to think about spring.

ice raking, spring, filk, baseball, weather
