Pitchers and catchers report today! (Slightly altered from something Keith Olbermann said the other night. Part of why I watch Keith is that, no matter how well he does politics and other news, he's still very obviously a baseball guy at heart.)
The current temp here is 13 degrees F (about -10 C I think). There are several inches of snow and/or ice outside, though main roads are clear and most side streets are passable, which is why my location is "work".
I meant to do a post about ice raking last night. This is a twist on show shoveling I do in this sort of weather, to make my driveway and front steps also passable, but after I was done with it last night I was too tired. (There's a filk there somewhere, "Ice Raking" to the tune of Deep Purple's "Space Truckin'", but I don't have time to write it now.)
Part of why I love baseball is that it means spring. And summer, and fall, too, of course, but this time of year it's just nice to think about spring.
