I haven't seen it yet, but your "Lord of the Dance" quote and bit about Emily in the beginning prompted me to say "screw spoilers, I'll get to it in 6 hours". And I am over the moon to hear that Dave is getting to be Awesomely Dorky Stepdad, and that Emily and JJ and Garcia are kicking butt through the tears.
I lost it in the beginning and then it pretty much went from there. But oh, these women (and I don't really have deep thinky thoughts of my own but I agree with yours). Also how much did I love Jessica Brooks and how they didn't go the cliche route and just, I'm reduced to making incoherent '...this family! Mom! Thomas Gibson breaks my heart' noises.
Jessica Brooks is almightily awesome. We last saw her making the "You made my sister cry, burst into flames!" face at Hotch in Seven Seconds. One would not blame her at all for centering all her grief on the easily available target of Hotch. But instead she's awesome.
Yes, yeah to the sister! And how they picked up on one of the last discussion Hotch and Haley had before the broke up, and he went off to Milwaukee to rejoin the team. And then at the grave site at the end, Rossi's line that Haley 'knows you're coming back to the team. That fighting the bad guys is who you are.' Just perfect, all the way through..though Emily is beginning to scare me a little. Her face-to-face with Joe at the end was a tad more intense than it had to be. (I don't think I've ever seen anyone's eyes 'glistening with madness' before..but I think Paget pulled it off.) And Hotch is coming back!

To see their father weep!
This is what I call projection: Hotch can't bear to let Jack see him weep, so tells himself that Jack can't bear to see it. :-)
