Comics have been eating my brain lately! Anyone else into Marvel? I was a Marvel girl in high school (not to be confused with Marvel Girl) and my brother was a DC boy. 15 years later, our battle lines are still drawn. He thinks Superman and Aquaman are awesome, and I am convinced that Wolverine would rip them to shreds in about five minutes while ( Read more... )

wolverine: adamantium's the new black, dcnu: reboots were made for walkin', comic books not comic sans, cable&deadpool: the very odd couple, x-men: bamf! bamf!

FOXX, I FORGOT WHAT I WAS GOING TO SAY BECAUSE I SAW YOUR "HOTASS MUTANTS IN LOVE" TAG AND GOT DISTRACTED.

Oh, yes! The only reason I wanted a tablet was to read comics. Forget for a moment that I bitch about how small comics are on a 13" Macbook screen - a tablet would somehow make it totally okay.

Also, you are a million times cooler than me, part 7,132: I grew up reading Archie comics (although around age 10 there was a short-lived comic called Thirteen that I read for a few issues). I bought my comics at the grocery store because I live in Hicksville and nowhere near a comic book store. /TRAGIC BACKSTORY

BOSS. HI, HELLO AND HI. I used to read Archie comics ALL THE TIME. It is sad how invested I use to be in the Archie/Betty/Veronica love triangle (don't tell anyone, boss. My life is sad).

I wrote a letter to them telling them they should put a new character in, with my name, and I was kind enough to include a character design, which looked like the drop dead gorgeous teenager I would no doubt become. A week later I realised I might be a little egocentric and was embarrassed, but hey, no harm done, except - MY MOTHER ACTUALLY SENT IT. Which I did not realise 'til I got a letter back from them saying they didn't need any new characters at the moment, thanks for reading, have a nice day. I am still embarrassed over this.

FOXX. I read one the other day and it had Lil Jinx talking a a CD player. I did not know they were still drawing them. They all look like they're from 1955!
