I'm so excited to see alot of you interested in reading Wuthering Heights! We have over 100 members!!! :D :D
I do have some news about the books that are chosen to be on the nominations list/what the criterea is.
ruhamah and I have thought about this for around a month, emailing back and forth about constantly, and we cannot come to a practical decision on what the official "rules" for "clean classic novels" should be. So this is what we have decided to do momentarily until something better comes along. :)
*We don't have a cut and dried formula for deciding on books, but approval will be at the discretion of the moderators.
*We reserve the right to turn down any book or remove a book from the list at any time.
*We will thoroughly investigate every book, even to the point of reading them ourselves, but if we don't think it should be on the list, it will be taken off.
*Personal opinions about the book will not be a factor, the content in the book will be the factor. (Cursing, sexual situations, and violence.)
*If a book you nominated is taken off, please do not take it personally, it's nothing against you, we just don't feel it's a book that should be on our list.
The last thing we as moderators want to do is make people angry and leave, but at this point, this is what we feel is best for
bibliophyles.
At the moment this is our final decision about this, if you have any other suggestions on how to do this, please feel free to tell us. :) We are always opened to suggestions on how to better
bibliophyles!
