My grandfather is having his galbadder removed sometime this week. What a bizzare organ to need to have removed! Poor guy is stuck in the hospital until they can get the surgery scheduled, which will probably not be until Wednesday at the earliest. YICK.
I have spent the last week reading more gratuitous fanfiction. Can someone please explain to me why I do this!?! I now feel qualified to make recomendations for dueSouth, House, Wilby Wonderful, and a few select stories in Buffy, Angel, and Battlestar Galactica. Why do I have this addictive personality!?! Ah well, such is life. Fanfiction is fun, harmless, and leads me to icons, which I am also addicted to!
Haven't had a chance to see Superman yet, but I now want to. Which REALLY pisses me off! I was all set to hate this movie. All set to see it only to mock it. I had a nice righteous rage going against Brian Singer for abandoning X-3 (and dooming it for the big failure that it was) and hoping that this would flop as a bit of karma. But now I have not only seen a trailer for it (Which makes it look really cool, as opposed to the teaser, which still makes it look cheesey as all hell) but I have read an interview with Singer that makes it sound like he really gets Superman. Which no one ever does. But he was talking about the immigrant roots in the creation of Superman's character. AND he was agnsting about leaving X-Men, so now I not only have to forgive him, but love him forever and see this movie. Which I didn't want to want to see AT ALL. Rar. Why?!?!!?
