Doctor Who: How RTD broke up Donna and the Doctor. Goddammit Rusty, it is possible for companions to out grow him and to want something else beyond hopping about fighting aliens and things. Hell, out of all his companions Donna was initially the one such an exit would have been perfect for, but noooo he had to tack on all that "I'll be traveling with the Doctor forever" crap.
And then he wipes out all her character development. Git.
Angel: the Cordelia/Conner ickfest, the complete trashing of her character and then unceremoniously dropping from the main cast. Screw you Joss!
Buffy: Seeing Red. All of it.
The X Files: Samantha Mulder was starlight all along. Yes, it had been stretched out so long that anything would have been a let down, but was starlight really the way to go? Not that it counts, Reyes is totally Samantha anyway.
