My vacation is over starting tomorrow when I have to drag my jet-lagged bum out of bed and into work. I have been napping far too much for someone trying to get back to a regular sleeping schedule... but what else can you do when you blow a fuse for the afternoon and have nothing to do but read by dreary sun/candlelight? (For those interested, I blew the fuse by having the washing machine, rice cooker, and electric kettle all going at the same time. The breaker box is in the basement so I had to wait for my landlord to get home, at which time he proceeded to turn all of the lights on and off repeatedly. For future reference, my kitchen and bathroom are labelled "X-ray". The house I live in used to be a doctor's office, so this fact is fairly amazing.)
Anyway, it was awesome to hang out with my mom and Joe for 2 weeks, and I am pretty depressed that the whole thing is over. My mom may be coming to Vancouver for work next September, so that's pretty awesome since it's a flight the Matt and I can easily afford. He can see her insanity in person.
Pictures and travel highlights to follow (possibly this weekend), but for now:
BECAUSE I
HAD TO. The tour group we joined in Hong Kong to Japan was a mix of awesome stuff, and horrendously lame touristy stuff that I would never do on my own, such as Sanrio Puroland (aka Hello Kitty Land). However: it was really fun to do these things with my mother, as the pictures will tell.
