I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get to this chapter but LJ has been giving me some grief lately.

I don't envy Emma. She's in a totally no-win situation here. Booth went to her because he was so desperately in need of a little comfort. On reflection, later, I guess he might see the danger, but for heaven's sake the poor guy was just about at the end of his tether.

It will be interesting to see how Emma's meeting with Brennan goes. A crash-hat might be a useful thing to take with her.

You are right, Booth was so lost when he met Emma that he really needed her in his life at that time.
