I think Booth's relationship with Emma is entirely understandable. Having been deprived of love and affection for so long, when someone comes along who is willing to help him feel appreciated again he's going to soak it up. Good luck, I say. (Not too unlike the situation with Hannah on Show, imo.) The danger is that he could easily mistake that gratitude towards Emma as more than what it is, And it looks as though Emma is in danger of becoming a casualty, too.

Can't wait to find out how this very interesting and fascinating (and heart-breaking) story finishes up. Wonderful writing, as ever.

You are right, he's very lonely, and he needs someone to show him that he matters, and he cares for Emma very much, but he will always love Bren, no matter what.

oh god... I felt for some time, that something like this or similar (bad) will happen, I am sad, this is very dangerous, and honestly I don't like this, but I hope it is only a emotional outburst, and effect of loneliness and not more.
