Dear contestants on Treasure Hunters,
You are all Americans. You grew up in America. You (presumably) went to American schools. You (presumably) were taught American history.
I am Canadian. I grew up in Canada. I went to Canadian elementary and high schools. I went to and go to a Canadian university. I have been taught Canadian history. I have been taught American history.
How is it possible that you did not know that Francis Scott Key wrote Star-Spangled Banner? How is it possible that you did not know it was written after the Battle at Fort McHenry in Baltimore? You must be fucking morons. But what I find amusing beyond all reason is the emphasis you put on this battle. You claimed that it was one of the biggest, most important battles of the War of 1812. In actual fact, it wasn't all that significant. Only four Americans died, I think.
Next time, please do your research before you go on a reality show for millions to watch. It's a sad day when a Canadian knows more about your history than you do.
Thanks,
biatchissimo
P.S: Oh yeah, and Francis Scott Key was a lawyer. Does anyone else find that somewhat amusing?
