So fun story, there's a local bakery that I like to sit at on weekends and have alone time. While I was there one day I got inspiration for this story while I was eating their gateau basque cake and had to leave immediately to write.

I'm glad you liked this story!!! I definitely liked writing this and helped me get out of my writers block. Taemin was probably the most fun to write.

Kibum watched as Jonghyun’s mother pinched her son’s cheek, the same crinkle eyed smile gracing her features as she tenderly smoothed his hair and pulled at his clothes. And Jonghyun let her, laughing at something his mom said as he fumbled for his keys, still unfamiliar with the new addition to his key ring.
i loved this part. it was so tender and real

In the end, Eunsook had wheedled him down with potential gossip over Minho’s latest failures in trying to woo her. Taemin just showed up.

“Are you sure you don’t want me to cut the strawberries or sift or something?” asked Taemin. He handed her two more.

“No,” said both Kibum and Eunsook in unison.

i had the most fun writing taemin's parts. he's that one friend that is so cute and sweet, but also endearingly useless sometimes. you can't call him if you lost and need directions, but he'll entertain you with stupid stories about his day until you find your way back home.

one of my goals this time around was to flesh out the characters and make them seem more real. like small quirks such as taemin washing strawberries with soap, kibum being a spazz etc. i had fun trying to think of stuff that makes a character unique ^^

Kibum is such a spaz, it's so great. I mean, if I could bake I'd go nuts over trying to make Jonghyun the perfect dessert as well... lol. Taemin was so great, like how could be be so spacey? Lol and poor Minho he just got talked about in all directions, didn't he? Jonghyun was a total cutie, I'm glad he wasn't just being super friendly to Kibum because that's just his personality. thanks for reading! one of my goals for this story was to try new things with characterizations, something different from my other stories. i think it came out good, i'm especially happy with kibum and taemin. they were really fun to write ^^
