Like there is any way in hell I can possibly read that much! I'm lucky if I get FIVE books read in a year & even that is a stretch. Even so, there are so many books out there that I want to read. I am dying to read these books as well!! Each year I keep track in a notebook of what I read and when...in 2005 I read 33 books. Must read more though...that is one of my resolutions for this coming year.

You should especially read A Million Little Pieces. I can't stop thinking about it!

I keep hearing that, so I must read that book! I don't know if I have one favorite book since I love so many, and so many different authors...Where the Red Fern Grows is one of my faves, as is Message in a Bottle - Nicholas Sparks. How about you?

Fall on Your Knees by Ann-Marie MacDonald.

I'd given A Million Little Pieces to my friend Randy *who NEVER reads* yesterday & he brought it back already!! I think its the first book he's read completely in 20 years. :)

hmmm...what's that one about? i think i've heard of it...

Oh, its just sooo good. A dark story about family secrets & centering around a few sisters in the 1920s & thereabouts. Its set in Cape Breton in a mining town called New Waterford (maybe you've heard of it?). I love stories set around here & I love stories that show the evolution of someone's life.

This was an Oprah book too. :) & she knows! I love Oprah. Hee! I grabbed the link from the Oprah site, here!

sounds excellent! i'll have to put it on my list to read...i love stories of eastern canada as well...one of my faves is the shipping news. i've seen others as well such as margaret's museum, new waterford girl etc.
marion bridge was really good too. you must love those films as well!

OMG, I was just writing about how much I hate The Shipping News so far! haha. It must get better. I'm just not into the characters at all. I saw the movie when it first came out, but that was long enough now that I forget everything that happened in it!

Oh, I LOVE all those films actually. I'd only heard of Marion Bridge last year & was so excited when I found it!
