Ya, I know I haven't updated in awhile. Been running around crazily getting ready for the next two mini-semesters. Ick, classes all the way through to Aug.11 and then starting again Aug.22. Just found out last week that I'm double booked on Monday. Oh joy. My bio class is from 8-12 and now I have a mandatory orientation session for my online class from 9-10 THE SAME DAY! Can't get ahold of either professor to let them know what's going on and try to work something out. I've emailed them both but they haven't responded yet. ::sigh::

Enough of that. On to more cheerfull stuff. I got accepted into an rpg on the Star Trek forum I'm a member of. The rpg is called Brave New Worlds and is set about a year or two after the end of the Dominion War (end of DS9). Which means the Federation is back exploring the Gamma quadrant, where the whole rpg takes place. The coolest thing about this rpg is that if you want you can create, and play, your own species as long as you stick to what would be realistic for Star Trek and that you post the profile on the forum. I immediately took advantage of that and began work on my own species. Their called the Sylesi and they are a snake species (i.e. no legs, bottom half of them is a snakes body). They're venomous, telepathic(snakes have no vocal cords), and overall really, really cool. I had a blast making them and both my brother and sister helped. Nathan knowing more about stars and geology stuff and Laura knowing more about snakes. I did a VERY detailed profile, everthing from the star type, planets axial tilt and climate, to every little detail of their biology, culture, government and technology. When I was done the thing was 4 pages long. My character, name is Yelesi Maticora, is going to be an Ambassador. She's a neice of the Empress as well as being an expert in computer technology and intellegence so while she's had some diplomatic training, she's not an experienced diplomat. That should make things a bit more interesting. hehe.

We went yard saling today and man did I get neat some stuff. I found an electic wok with a tempura rack and cookbook and my dad found a very cool camera for me. It came with a sweet carrying case, normal lens and telephoto lens, 3 filters, flash, two rolls of film, extra strap, lens shade, and all the manuals. And it was only a hundred dollars!! The telephoto lens alone is between $150-$200 so it was more than worth it. Oh it's a Minolta, which my dad says is a good brand. ::boing, boing:: I'm soooo happy with my yard sale goodies.
