March 13 & March 14

I wish I could go more in depth with these entries but considering the days in question are a month ago, I'm a bit foggy. Sorry.

I had some free time open since I closed so Angel and I took off in search of Big Kahuna's, a new burger place Matt had been raving about earlier in the week. The place is about 2 miles past the Grafton Road Wal-Mart in Morgantown and was amazing and decently priced. The burger was cooked to perfection and the fries were great as well. While we were there I got a call from 95 suggesting a couple things for "Limited Edition (No Competition)". I actually noticed the volume levels were a bit off in Angel's car and planned on fixing them next time I got a free moment.

After Big Kahuna's, we headed over to Westover so I could get to work. On the way, we swung by E's so I could give him the disc that contained my "Darlin'" vocals, the extended instrumental since I added in a couple bars in my final version, and "LENC" for 6. He was in the middle of a recording session with A Breezy, Beanz, and 6 so I handed him the disc, said my hellos, and got out of the way as quick as possible. He later told me they were recording for a TBD mixtape.

As I was closing at work, Matt hit me up and asked if I wanted to hang out when I got home. I, of course, was down and he met me not too long after I walked in the door. WVU was in the Big East tourney final against Georgetown (a team I've had a love/hate relationship with) so we sat down with Angel and Nikki to watch. It was a back and forth game, with the Hoyas always having a slim lead. But for the first time all season, I didn't think we could lose. My theory was proved right when Da'Sean answered the call by sending home an impossible shot that gave WVU the margin it needed to win their first ever Big East tourney title. Matt and I were jumping up and down like idiots as the team celebrated on the world famous Madison Square Garden floor. This was another landmark in WVU sports since I moved here in 2003. In football, they had won 4 straight bowl games during the Pat White era as well as multiple Big East titles. In basketball, they had advanced to an Elite Eight, a Sweet Sixteen, and won a NIT title. Now we had won the Big East Tournament. The only question left was where we would be seeded.

Nikki and Angel went to their rooms and I fired up the Wii.  We spent the next hour or so playing Mario Wii while trying to come up with a solid idea to record a new episode of Hip-Hop Manifesto about. Unfortunately, we failed but we did watch a bunch of hilarious YouTube videos and hang out with Nikki while she waited for Jon to show. Daylight Savings Time also hit at 2 am, robbing us of an hour of chill time. With the time change suddenly effecting both of us, we called it a night and Matt headed home. I went upstairs and passed out next to Angel, the latest I had went to bed on a night that wasn't a Movie Night or a show night.

As far as Sunday...I know I worked, but I don't remember anything I did once I got home. So I guess it's not word-worthy at this point.
