+Creep Talk+
A lot of people have died this month; among these include the death of our highschool batchmate. She and her brother died unexpectedly in a car crash somewhere in Daang Hari Road going to Alabang. They’re only supposed to go the church but instead, they went straight into heaven in the loving hands of God. I am shocked to be reminded of the reality that even young, energetic people can pass away anytime.
Fellow batchmates and I attended the eulogy, and during these times (or whenever we hear news of unexpected deaths), I’m sure some of you too tend to think or even open it during discussions: “Ano kaya ang naiisip niya bago siya nawala?” or “In the past days, did he or she ever sensed that he or she’s going to die soon?”
Well, recently, I FEEL LIKE I’M GOING TO DIE SOON, IF NOT ONE OF THESE FOLLOWING DAYS, WEEKS, OR MONTHS. Seryoso. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because of the many deaths that’s been happening around or this A(H1N1) paranoia I have. By the way, I’m being very touch conscious and neat freak lately, like after I handle money to pay for something, I either wash my hands with germicidal soap (I strictly follow the doctor’s demo on proper way of washing hands in the Safeguard commercial) or douse them with alcohol all over. I also try not to touch escalator handles in malls, so you can picture me trying to hold my balance as I walk in the ascending step. I hold my breath for 30 seconds when a person sneezes or coughs around me so I would not inhale the airborne virus.
Anyway going back, I often think and sense that I’m dying unexpectedly real soon. No signs really, nor apparitions of creepy faceless men in black cloth and blades but I notice have this unspeakable urge to be obedient, sweet, and nice to everyone. Am I already preparing everyone before I pass away? Am I doing what old people call “pagpaparamdam?” So if ever I die one of these days (God forbid), this finally answers our question. Yes, some people could sense their unexpected looming end.
Knock on the wood. I hope this entry pre-empts everything.

But if a person sensed he or she is going to die an unexpected death, can it still be considered “unexpected?”▪
