Masters of Horror: No, I won't use lj-cut.

Masters of Horror is an American television series created by director Mick Garris for the Showtime cable network. The show follows an anthology format, with each one-hour episode featuring a short film directed by a well-known horror film director.

"Imprint" is the thirteenth episode of the first season of Masters of Horror. It aired in North America on February 25, 2006. It was originally scheduled to premiere on January 27, 2006 but was shelved by Showtime due to concerns over its extremely graphic and disturbing content, which features torture, incest and abortions. Hence, it was largely unavailable to American audiences until it was released to DVD on September 26, 2006.

Mick Garris, creator and executive producer of the series, characterized the episode as "the most disturbing film I've ever seen."

The film was directed by Takashi Miike, a prolific director of yakuza films but also highly notable in the horror genre for his films Audition, Ichi The Killer and to a lesser extent One Missed Call, which is presently in post-production in Hollywood form.

I'm currently collecting these short film episodes courtesy of where else but Quiapo. Right now, I have five of the 13 episodes from the first season:

1. Chocolate by Mick Garris.
A recently divorced young man begins experiencing the world through the senses of a woman he's never met.

3. Dreams in the Witch-House by Stuart Gordon

4. Cigarette Burns by John Carpenter
A man searches for the last surviving print of a rare film (entitled "La Fin Absolue du Monde") that allegedly drove the only audience that ever viewed it into a fit of homicidal frenzy.

So far, sa lahat ng episodes na napapanood ko, ito ang nagandahan ako. Disturbing talaga. If you clamour for gore, watch this short film for TV. It talks about the power of filmmaking, that it can become a deadly weapon.

5. Deer Woman by John Landis
An ancient Native American mythological creature, a gorgeous temptress with a pair of deer's feet, wreaks havoc.
