Mo Charaids'
I have certainly missed you all very very much.... I went home Friday on a internet high* It lasted the whole weekend. I was happy. I had chatted with a half dozen fellow collegiates, and it appears I had been abducted by ailens maybe?! alas the rumors were not found true. Here I am sitting in an office praying this cushy job lasts. I like it. I hope to get back to delta this winter if all things continue to fall into place. Great news any of you that know Gene Smirnov he will be in town next week we are meeting at the Green Hut or Bells around 10ish.... Come on out and see some buddies..
How many of you have taken the time to get out there and enjoy this beautiful Autmn we are having? I went for a walk in the woods with Courtney (my16yrold) The colors were splendid, We found wintergreen berries and and old oak tree that had fallen along side another tree.. Yes we climbed it : )
Just to see the glory of the forest from the tree tops, breathtaking. and if ya'll know me well. Yes I had a skirt on, hampers the agilty a bit but hey the veiw from the tree tops was worth it. And no, noone could see up that skirt they all tend to be very long ; ) Courtney says I need to lose the look it is no longer the 70's I say I have been me forever throw fashion out the window. I don't match unless I have too. I don't care... If it's comfortable and I like it I wear it. I am not out to impress anyone.
Wooo you should see some of the arguements I have with her.... (involves putting more clothes on) Ah, well she is an individual as long as its covered up I let her go. I was young and stupid once too. LOL I rather like my skirts at least I don't have to lay on a bed to zip my jeans up ; 0
Alright I could now go on a tangent about the image that society puts out for a girl or woman to be like. That really sets me off, I am happy with me.
My daughter is beautiful and curvy and she thinks shes fat... Please... I turn her around and around in the mirror and say where? God made you this way, damn sexy!! be proud of it chica'!! she weighs all of a 130lbs wears a size 7. Sounds alright to me. She got curves just like her mama in all the right places... By all the boys I keep telling she ain't home they think so too. ; )
Did I mention my eldest is 18 now? wow how time flies. He has moved out and I miss him. He is my baby... the one who said he'd never move out. He graduates this novmember. Then he's off to college. Great we'll have classed together. He'll move back home ( i hope ) or do I?? When I have my own place again. I do know that I cried on his 18th birthday cause he wasn't home for me to cook dinner for and bake a cake. He is 6ft 2 and has been taller than me for at least the past 6years but he is still my baby boy. Your first born is that the one that is the baby or the last born? Right now its the first... he is gone I listen to the squabbles of my 12yr old daughter and my 16yr old and wanna pull my hair out. And to think I actually want them all to move out. No maybe I don't.... I am a people person.. Family person always. I love the sound of them in the house. The difference in music coming from the bedrooms. The personalities, the quirks and perks...Oh they drive me nuts... Stress me out. But I'd not have it any other way. I used to think differntly. oh, I couldn't wait til they'd be gone and I could do what I want to.
But really who wants to come home to an empty house? Not me... I am glad that Shaun feels that way too. Sometimes we wish it was quiet, but when it is or we are gone for awhile we miss them. My family has wiggled and wormed their way into his heart and he now says our family. Our kids, never my kids. Touching... their stepdad whom helped raise my youngest from the age of 3yrs to 10yrs never called them his or said our family our kids. It was always mine or hers. Funny, huh?! I never thought about it. I spent 8 years with him. The kids say well duh! Mom we told ya....
Have any of you seen "Are We There Yet?" My kids aren't that bad but they do give some attitude and gruff to someone new. I realize they have too. They aren't just thinking of themselves. They think of it as a whole. We,Us... They will tell me now I don't like him Mom don't date him.. The boys especially. At first I didn't listen to them. Now I do. Kids know.
You can't fool them, they see through it. I'm impressed. I'm amazed. Most of all I am in love with my family and quite fond of a man who can call my family his. 6 months he is still around. They have been their worst and their best and he has weathered it all. Hmmmm.. we have yet to see. He is not perfect, nor am I. But he never fails to inspire me, to encourage me, lift me up, and most of all pray with me. Never had that before. They say a family that prays together stays together. LOL most of my best friend approves.. Thx Seth. he likes to help out in my dating blunders too ; )
Hey ya'll if I ever get brave enough to walk down an aisle again. Seth is going to be on my side... That's right my side... In a kilt... Gotta love us Irish' We stick together and aren't afraid to be seen in public with a skirt on. ; ) Peace & Many Blessings Mo Charaids
