One of these mornings you're gonna rise up singing...
Oh livejournal. How I've neglected you these past few months. I think I am forever obligated to update this thing, so I might as well bite the bullet and update on this dark and stormy night. It's been raining and raining for so long now. I think there have been problems with flooding upstate and in New Jersey. Unfortunately all this rain does not make for good beach-going days. But even with the rain, I think Long Island is wonderful in the summer. It's beautiful and lively and .....you, whoever you are, should just come see for yourself. Dad's in Italy this week and Mom and Suman have been the city the past two days so it's just been me, Sachin and Yodie around the house. Today Sachin and I went to see Superman, which I thought was really great. Also, Brandon Routh is dreamy (and a strapping 6'3"!)and I'm the only girl tall enough for him so everyone else (that means you, Robin) should stay away.
Last week I had University Orientation in Boston. I met 7 of the 15 other people in the entering class of my college and met my advisor and various professors. Everyone seems really interesting and nice so I'm excited about seeing more of them once school starts in September. The classes I am taking are: Readings in Ethics & Politics, Intro to Literary Study, Ethnicity and Identity, French and a lecture series seminar. My earliest class is at 9:30, which is pretty nice, I suppose. No word yet on roommates or housing-type of things, but soon I hope.
Also, I don't think I ever mentioned what a fabulous time I had with all the lovely ladies (and one dashing gentleman) I saw here in New York in May. Thank you, all you wonderful people, for coming.
I miss everyone very, very much and would love to see you here or wherever you are. I hope everyone's having a great summer!
