Reinstallation
I sent my computer to the shop yesterday to deal with a busted screen. They mentioned how my boot-up times were abnormally slow (and they were, intolerably so) and suggested they reformat everything. I agreed, since I've already backed up most of my documents.
Now I have my computer back, restored to factory settings. Everything's gone. Years of downloading, gone. All my settings, all the little things that made it mine, all gone. The icons I like to have in the corner next to the start button, the way I arranged my folders, even my desktop background... all gone.
This must be what it's like to wake up from a coma and have amnesia.
Oh well, now to re-download everything.
