I spent the week moderating pitches at the Muse Online Writing Conference. It's free and I highly recommend it. It was my third year.
Being stuck in Revision Hell meant I couldn't pitch. At least I could help people who were pitching. My job was to tell people when they could leave the waiting room and enter the pitching room. This meant I had to have one foot in each room.
I got to chat with Sara Megibow of Curtis Nelson (same agency as
Nathan Bransford) before the pitches. I thanked her for requesting and rejecting my old 30 pages. She asked me if old meant I had revised them. I told her I was taking Holly Lisle's How To Revise Your Novel course. Sara said to resubmit whenever I was finished revising.
Places I need to send to:
Partials: Amy Boggs of Donald Maass, Miriam Kriss of Irene Goodman and Karen Solem of Spencerhill Assoc.
Resubs: Heather Evans of Fine Print and Sara Megibow of Curtis Nelson
Imprints: Crescent Hill Press and Tor Romance
I want this book done. I NEED this book done. I hate that each lesson for the course comes each week. I want them all now. I write full-time. I could work them much faster.
