The Post That Goes Against Everything I Have Ever Stood For On LiveJournal

Jun 23, 2006 16:48

Posting this basically goes against everything I stand for, but I'm bored at work and have some free time and never update - and recently haven't even had time to talk to my friends in real life - so why not.

I've been in and out of meetings with the i Network (formerly PAX) for the past few days to finalize our plans to make an hour-long "movie news show" for them. Everything seems to have finally fallen into place after lots of meetings, a presentation video, and lots of input from the network (I guess I know what I have to look forward to now). Part of the process involved making extreme budget cuts (read: cutting it in half), we've managed to come to a deal. Six-episode order, premiere date set, lawyers drawing up contacts.

On Thursday August 31, in markets all across the country, you will be able to tune to your local i channel at 8/7c for a (hopefully) entertaining hour of Movie Q. Executive Producer: Brian G. Murphy. Depending on how things go, we'll be back to the table in September to discuss renewing it.

If you live in LA that's KPXN (30 on broadcast), in DC WPXW (66 on broadcast, 17 on Comcast).

I think they are going to start running promos for it in mid-August and you can be sure I will be nothing but i until I see one.

So... that is why you probably haven't seen/heard me recently, but I'm trying to change that. Speaking of which ... We have a sales tape due July 17 for advertisers so I won't be able to be home before then, but I am planning on coming home as soon after that as possible and staying until I absolutely have to come back to LA. I promise I'm not avoiding home, I love you guys!

And it's now 5:00 so I can leave. YESSSSSSSSSS
